Okay, here's the insanity.

I've decided to put Reno in Silent Hill.

I've decided to make it a reader's decision-based story

I already have most of the first-track storyline written.

Now I just have to figure out how to present it so people don't go clicking through the main hosting site and get all confused because they're coming up with total nonsense since they're seeing it all out of order.

Hm...

Insanejournal? A strongly worded header of warning? Accompanying art? Oh, decisions decisions...and yes, I'm bananas.

Any thoughts?

Anybody care to look over what I've got so far?

Follow the links, there's only one version of the story as yet and it isn't done, I'm time-constrained and a little pissed-scared of myself right now, but I hope to both finish this train of the story and supply the other choices. Lemme know what you think here, I'd rather not have anything at the site yet since it's not done. Also, plot help and puzzle help would be FANTASTICAL! Ah, just got done reading the parts you have so far, and I must say it's very well written! The descriptions of the monsters are spot-on, and Reno is so in character. :D I haven't read a choose-your-own-path story in so long too.

I'd more more than willing to help with plot/puzzles when you need a hand. I need to stir up my own writing juices anyway. XD I think they're getting stagnant.

Great! If you can come up with some puzzles, let me know--I was always crap at SOLVING them, so I'm crap at coming up with them, too :D Glad you like the monsters, they're very tied in with Reno's character, like the ones from SH2 tie in with James. I wanted to come up with things that were original but clearly parallel with monsters we already know, so that it would be easier for people to visualize the way they move and such.

PS: Love your Data icon, he was my biggest crush ever as a teen :D

I thought of a good puzzle before I went to bed, but I need to tweak it a little. :D I'm trying to think of ways to make the puzzles tie in with Reno, just like the monsters, so there's that whole extra level of deep, psychological meaning thrown in for good measure.

P.S.- Yay for Data! I crushed on Picard for the longest time. XD

Though I still haven't forgiven my writer for lettin my youngest brat get kidnapped. All in all, I'd prefer Silent Hill over goin through that again.

No worries! Since PH was the personification of James's sins, he doesn't come into this story. It didn't feel honest to use him in this one since he's tied so closely to the main character of SH2.

I've never played Silent Hill or else I'd volunteer. I know the premise (kinda sorta) but that's about it. I can't even say that I'm good with puzzles. =[

I'll just say that I am looking forward to the end result which, if it's anything like that AMV you posted, I shall read in broad daylight with stuffy in hand.

I'm kinda stuck right now, but I hope to write more this weekend. This one should definately go on ShinRa Badboys... and I bet there's a Silent Hill community out there that would enjoy the crossover.

I think a lot of people are waiting for all the decisions to be in place before exploring it. Definately don't give up on it.

I read all the rest of the chapters in this and I'm still never playing that game. Those ballarina's seriously creeped my out.

Very well written, btw. Enough description to give me a picture but not so much that you start sounding like a game guide.

The puzzles are good as far as I can tell. I like how looting is giving him items just like in a 'real' game.

Looking forward to more.

I gave myself a case of the spooks and haven't worked on it in awhile--I'm still dealing with Eromenos Ending Fallout *hits screaming muses with stick*...But I hope to get something up this weekend. I've been thinking about the next section and I think I've got something good to go with :D Thanks for reading it, I know survival horror isn't really your preferred reading material :D

Aaaah, trying to catch up on things and this is what I find! I'm so intrigued! All I know about Silent Hill is from the movie (I SUCK at computer games), but from what I remember it should be one squicky hell of a ride! I absolutly LOVE the idea of Reno in Silent Hill, it's making me giggle a lot. I don't know a whole lot about Silent Hill but I will help out if I can. I've got a friend whose sister played these games like a million times. I'm reading some of what you have now, it's actually kind of freaking me out but I like it. Wow, I've dropped the ball on this one! Thank you for taking a look at the silent hill project for me! I'm glad that you liked it, even if it freaked you out :D I'm using the walkthrough videos by Barutv on youtube to get a feel for the town, but most of it I'm making up from Reno's past, so the monsters and everything have an association to him. I hope to get back to it, it's really one of my favorites, I just have a lot of irons in the fire right now. Thanks, though! I'll definitely be in touch if I get hung up! Brainstorming is an awesome help!
